It was red and white day at Jessie Duncan to honor a special visitor to the school. Hayley Wickenheiser was in town to visit her nephew who attends the school. His teacher made arrangements for Hayley to come to the school to share her hockey experiences and her Olympic gold medal with all the students. She signed jerseys, hats, posters, flags and tshirts for everyone. Each student had a chance to feel the Sochi medal and ask questions. Staff and parents were equally thrilled to have the chance to meet her and express their admiration for her being such a positive role model for all Canadians.
